You need to get out of here. You need to get back to them. Is this how it starts? How I become like Keith?

« I know that if the woman I loved was locked away,
I’d be doing everything in my power to reach her. »

"Out of old habit, I put my hand on my collarbone, touching a cross that was no longer there. Don’t let them change me, I prayed silently. Let me keep my mind. Let me endure whatever there is to come." - Sydney Sage, Silver Shadows (x)

You and I just have to overcome hundreds of years’ worth of deeply ingrained prejudice and taboo between our two races. Easy.

"What made you change your mind?"

"You don't know the first thing about me. I fight back plenty."

I know. I know.

Too bad you got so bogged down in books. You’ve got the spirit of a warrior.

AU - Adrian Takes Sydney to the beach (after reeducation)

- I.. just wanted to thank you for bringing me here. - She whispered not looking at me but to the waves that were crashing on the rocks. I didn’t say anything but I could see her hands slightly shaking  so I didn’t  touch her. I didn’t know if she was still afraid of me but I just coudn’t keep my distance.

- I thought you needed to look something pretty..  - I said. She turned around and smiled a little bit. But it didn’t reach her eyes.

- I think you’re pretty. - she said after a few seconds. I looked at her and I felt the consumation of all these months of searching and suffering suffocating me. She didn’t know me anymore. They erased her memories, our memories. Everyone says that I should leave her alone to give her a chance to live again. But  I can’t. Not yesterday, not today not ever. So instead of making something stupid like crying or begging her to remember I just grinned.

- That’s interesting, Sage. You used to call me that all the time, you know.

Her smile grew till I could see the dimples around her eyes and then I saw it. The reason I would never give up.
